For God these words mean hear and act accordingly.
Hear the words being transmitted and directed at individual and then act according to what is transmitted.
Today's time vocabulary these words mean to 'see' 'look', and 'hear' but no action of any. Just listen and hear, but do not make a move.

A man of God, does God's will only. Not his own, not others, not anyone else. Jesus is the prime example.
The Will of God is Supreme over every other will. We do charity to others, such as favors to them of a good kind. Helps, aids. But not their entire will. To will others to being your own is a supreme way that is above Gods. This is what God means. The Will of God is to have only His Image and Likeness in each and every soul/ spirit. To have His instruction, guidance, formation to make a soul just like God in understanding, character, thoughts, to the final: 'All Love'. Then through this Will we love each other doing good. Altruism. Nothing for selfish self. How to explain? Selfless? How to further explain? These words do not hit home for the majority because, the examples are lacking out there. Thus when Fused to the Divine Word through the Union with the Holy Spirit, God gives us understanding of the higher kind, Wisdom, Understanding. To really and truly understand: Thus Jesus simply put, said: "to love is to live with ones soul united, fused to a single fire to nourish another soul. Then, in fusion, understanding takes place." This is altruism's definition of love. To be united to a Single Fire wherein all understanding comes to us through His Wisdom and Word, which comes in bright huge light: The Holy Spirit.
God's Wisdom is not for the flesh, carnal minds and hearts devoid of regeneration of the spirit. When a soul is regenerated, that is been given a 'go' to start its growth and formation, allows the Holy Spirit to fuse with it bringing lights, wisdom. To help it become completely fused to It. This is most important to become totally and fully fused to the Holy Spirit, which is and who is the Trinity's Love. To raise it, teach it, nourish it, give it knowledge and help it understand, similar to a human teaching another human about diapers or cooking eggs. Lessons to help it grow in understanding. It is understanding we seek. To know it means to understand it. Though the lessons to complete the full understanding takes time at intervals and stages through successive lessons through experience mostly. Man has a foundation which needs to be built upon it over time, levels and stages. Plant a seed and water it. A parable type bringing an end result. Plant a seed in the ground after having cut the glebes, turned the dirt, and mix nourishing elements, to make sure that seed is well nourished so it can grow into what it is to be. This is what Love does to souls. He cuts the glebe, ploughs it, turning the dirt and mixing in nourishing elements to help it grow into what it is meant to be.
Listen means to hear and do.

When the soul is not fused to God, that is has Grace, it needs to see and hear to do, to act. Examples are a wonderful thing helps one to quickly adapt and understand. Needs first a good soil and sunlight with water. What is sunlight in this case? Light to shed upon? Forms of knowledge, to help it understand. Give it basis, give it knowledge, building block, one piece at a time to build a knowledge base. Basis. To put the first piece, then successive pieces to build a firm tower where God's Image and Likeness is fully formed. Like having flour, and water to make some bread. Then to finish, it needs fire. This is similar to an oven where the mixed materials are then heated to bringing the final result. Thus it is with knowledge and understanding. Knowledge to give it understanding. To have the final result, completion.
Man is a formless being as an embryo in knowledge and understanding. Soul as well as human part. It was always a base and then God fused Himself with the soul, giving it knowledge to help it understand, gain fullness, educating the soul to bring to full understanding. Fully understanding anything and every thing God wanted it to know and understand. Thus, Wisdom is what God calls it. Wisdom, God's Wisdom brings all this to fruition. Complete. Thus with man, his journey is to completely love God and enjoy God in the fullness of knowledge. God created man for to have love. For the man to be fully love and love God and God fully loves from the start. Thus God being fully Knowledge and Understanding grants to man this Wisdom: Wisdom has everything necessary like tools to help the soul become able to understand God. So man cannot make mistakes and lacking. Perfection.
God's method of communication to spirits is through 'light.'
Fallen man, cannot receive God's light due to sin. Sin is evil's doing.
Sin came about by an evil will and was introduced by the Evil.
The lure: Evil sees that the soul wants more and is not fully adhering, observing, listening to God.
So it lured the soul. Evil helps those not fully adhered. It sees that the soul is not fully loving its God.
It can then lure it by some form until it finds the right one.
Thus it was with the Woman in the Garden of Eden.
Jesus explains that, the two were not satisfied with God's answer, 'to know Evil.' They wanted the knowledge and understanding of 'evil' just like God their Father.
What is wrong with them not knowing evil? Too powerful for them to repel it and keep the knowledge and understanding without it invading and harming them. They were not fully love.
Jesus was fully love. Mary was fully love. St. John the Beloved was fully love. In them, in their hearts there was nothing else. Their hearts were filled with love, in fact overflowing. Their love was flowing out of them. Like waterfalls.
To know evil means for the majority to 'partake' in it. This Fruit dangles in front of every man and woman on this planet and once bitten it spreads through those infected. They become carriers of this Evil Fruit which comes from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, as God has said it is. He calls it the knowledge of good and evil. It simply takes the Truth and twists in around making it seem it is good and truthful, which in reality is bate to pounce with fangs. Seduction to tear to pieces, ruin and destroy. Ever been sick by a virus and it spreads to others? Evil is the same thing. It infects, ruins, destroys, fevers, lust is the result of this sickness. It infected the woman and she took this to the man. Thus every child born of this woman was infected. This means all of humanity from that point on.
So what does God provide? Grace to certain individuals to produce through time and succession the lineage of Mary, Christ's Mother, so Christ can be born in the womb of a woman to bring a New Adam. Thus God through time perfected the Mother Mary so man could have a new King. The First King forfeited by sin. Bringing all the inhabitants to death. Death is no God, no Grace, which nullifies and cancels affiliation with God. Through, Mercy those who obeyed God, God kept. They went to Purgatory or Limbo awaiting Christ to free them. Obedience to God is utmost and really God loves those who do. Obedience has honor, respect, allegiance as traits.

God says to those who do not accept His salvation, away with you.
The mentality of souls today and previous who had not the Law of God, are those who do not accept any other authority in their lives. They are the product of the Sin's other error, that is we are our own gods. We do not hear but ourselves, what we want. We are the gods of this earth.
Can these gods, create a new Universe from nothing? Can these gods, create new life from nothing? Can these gods, create anything from nothing? Can they stop time? Perhaps portal to God and talk with him? Can they see God to tell him we are gods? Do these gods die? Are they immortal? Does their flesh die and return to dust?
Christ came to save souls from death, the grip of death, to give new life to souls as it was intended starting here right now. That is to be reborn into Grace and be united with God.
Christian life is meant to be just like Christ. No attachments to the earth, poor in spirit. To forego all this, and then gain all in the other life. Everything! Temporary state here on this earth.
He taught ordinary men to be his first priests to propagate through the succession of time to love and teach and bring new souls to the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Christ. To give back life to men and women. To live forever in the hereafter with God and enjoy God forever.
Christ teaches the first Apostles what will happen to his ministers in the future how they become their own class and resort to being elites. Devil tempts them all the time and they need constant prayers.
Humility, humble, meekness, compassion of the spiritual kind. What is flesh attaches like gangrene and doesn't let go. Need prunes, diggers, knives to root them out. Cut them down. Thus Christ taught to not attach to fleshly things. They like leaches.
The reason we need to detach is because it strangles. It eventually kills, leaving ruins of sentiments, affections, thoughts. Feelings emotions.
The spirit however fused to God, is free of all these. It takes constancy to come to this point.
Poor in spirit means rich with God and poor with earthly things.
Rich with God means love, joy, peace and one sees God in all things.
Rich with God means, the sweet Holy Spirit and the sweet Jesus are their enlightening the soul about other souls, about Heaven, about the Gospel, about the Father, and Themselves to enjoy life the way it is supposed to be. Full of God. This is what Christ taught. What Christ taught the Holy Spirit amplifies and more bringing the words to life in the many aspects like many branches on a tree with many fruits. God's Tree of Life how much there is there we have not known to-date. Instead the world is full of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
The Tree of Life has no 'Evil'. It is void of 'Evil.'
To know Satan means to not partake of its fruit but, to understand it is death, to know its traps and snares so as to avoid them. To see the difference between God's Tree of Life, devoid of Evil and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil to 'know it' is wrongful death, 'to understand God's words' For Only He Knows All and if we hear Him, We Avoid All Traps and Snares because this wretched other Tree only seeks to rob, kill and destroy. We have thousands o0f years of true and powerful evidence, facts, reality of it.
We have to understand that the fight is the spiritual warfare, where the evil uses the things of material to lure the flesh to enslave it and then crunch and gobble souls. Lures to senses of the flesh first then others. Such as be rich gain gain gain heap up! Fill your bellies, your bank accounts, give yourself more. Taste, eat, glutton, more more more to overflowing. The Evil's messages, are his thoughts, very very opposite of Gods.
Godliness, purity, holiness, raises the souls spirit to God and protects it from Evil. The Evil becomes like mosquito bites if any, St. Paul's very own words to Maria Valtorta in the Notebook.
St. Paul through the inspiration and guidance of Jesus and the Holy Spirit wrote, Romans, Corinthians, and the epistles to Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians, Thessalonians and more but they were not recovered.
To the Ephesians he wrote about the armor of God to wear it put it on.
He wrote to them to enlighten them about the spiritual warfare.
He was guided by God.
Be guided by God not men who do not have your best interests.
God's good is supreme. His definition of Good is Infinity's answer forever doesn't end.
His Good is above all good. God said let there be light and after the light was made, He said it is 'Good.' This light is our sun. He said split the waters from the waters and when it was done, at the end of the day of creating He said, it is 'good.'
God's good brought about 'Paradise.' Good.
