Nemrod's Kingdom
8 Now Chus begot Nemrod: he began to be mighty on the earth.
9 And he was a stout hunter before the Lord. Hence came a proverb: Even as Nemrod the stout hunter before the Lord.

11 Out of that land came forth Assur, and built Ninive, and the streets of the city, and Chale.
Nemrod Hunted men-- He slaughtered men. He came from Noah's son Cham, who begot, Chus, who begat Nemrod.

4 And they said: Come, let us make a city and a tower, the top whereof may reach to heaven: and let us make our name famous before we be scattered abroad into all lands. 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of Adam were building.
6 And he said: Behold, it is one people, and all have one tongue: and they have begun to do this, neither will they leave off from their designs, till they accomplish them in deed. 7 Come ye, therefore, let us go down, and there confound their tongue, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 And so the Lord scattered them from that place into all lands, and they ceased to build the city.
9 And therefore the name thereof was called Babel, because there the language of the whole earth was confounded: and from thence the Lord scattered them abroad upon the face of all countries.
Then we read about Babylon in 4 Kings or II Chronicles
4 Kings 17
24 And the king of the Assyrians brought people from Babylon, and from Cutha, and from Avah, and from Emath, and from Sepharvaim: and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.
27 And the king of the Assyrians commanded, saying: Carry thither one of the priests whom you brought from thence captive, and let him go, and dwell with them: and let him teach them the ordinances of the God of the land. 28 So one of the priests who had been carried away captive from Samaria, came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should worship the Lord. 29 And every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the temples of the high places, which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities where they dwelt. 30 For the men of Babylon made Sochothbenoth: and the Cuthites made Nergel: and the men of Emath made Asima.
Babylon is a place of slavery, where treachery is law. If you want to become rich and famous you must learn to lie with the best. To be greatest in Babylon means to be the best liar around. Who is the father of all lies? Lucifer, Satan, Demon, Devil. Babylon in our times is, a spiritualized Babylon, where Satan rules.
It so happens that in Babylon there are nothing but idols. All manner of them to keep man occupied with all things except God. There is worship of every kind imaginable. To the unwise, this is unheard of. Everything in Babylon is worshipped. You have TV's where many folks are glued to Soap Operas, talk shows, and the comic shows, and then, thriller shows, and so on. Movies, Hollywood Celebrities, and depending where you live in Babylon, each has a set of different idols they, worship, in our time it's called 'idolize', which is the samething as worship and adore. They try to separate each word, adore, idolize, but they amount to the same. Rationalization, divides into individual parts, or portions compartmentalizing each part, thus each becomes a new point of idolizing. Rationalism has many ways about it. It effectively cuts down, whittle's down to each part until you cannot go any further, ---'down'; then once you reach 'down' you work your way, but you cannot find the up, because without Wisdom and Faith, there is no up. All doctrines in Babylon are heresies, one on top of the other. They mix the truth in it to lure and catch Christians. The weak ones who are not trained in Wisdom. How many are mixed up! Only God knows how many. And Satan. He see's Christians a mile away! He uses non-christians as bait, even Christians who have been caught in the trap, to catch more Christians. Thus you here this a lot: I'm a so so Christian, but I gave that up; I was a practicing Catholic but no longer, or I am a Christian and off I go, won't you come too?
Whatever appeals to your human senses. It is vast and wide, unimaginably vast. You can worship underwear in Babylon today. Underwear, because it has a certain unique design. You can worship, iphones, internet, work, the things in work, at work, people, anything, but God. Whatever grabs your fancy. But to the citizens of Babylon, it is common place and they do not think they are worshipping these idols, they take these idols as a given, a toy, a thing that helps them kill time, keeps them from becoming lonely and unfulfilled. Filling the Void, the emptiness inside.
In the Old Babylon, they worshipped their hand carved gods. In the New Babylon, the smaller things bring people to the Larger things, and eventually the Full Blown Image of the Beast.
4 Kings 17
39 But fear the Lord your God, and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies. 40 But they did not hearken, but did according to their old custom.
41 So these nations feared the Lord, but nevertheless served also their idols: their children also and grandchildren, as their fathers did, so do they unto this day.

Why do many people refuse to read the Bible? Because it exposes their nakedness. Just as Adam and Eve. When Adam and Eve sinned they saw they were naked; what does this mean really? It means they lost spiritual awareness, and traded love for lust. So when people lust, they want to see the others naked body. They no longer recognized each other as 'spirits'. They recognized only the human flesh. They saw that they were naked and hid themselves from God.
In Heaven, spirits are in God, they hear God, they rest in God, they are as they are 'spirits'. Thus Adam and Eve's, eyes were opened and they realized they were naked. Our inherited nature, just flesh. With a soul, that has become enslaved to flesh. So, the opposite occured, they no longer were spiritual, but became mud with a spirit that lost the light of God. They viewed each others flesh as it is today, and not as a garment as was when they were first created as living souls. A light garment that was transparent, transmitting the light from the soul. When you read the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, Her last day before it, Her body lit up!
This is how it was with Adam and Eve, before they fell, and Lucifer before he rebelled. They were beings of light, just as God is Light. Now man is just flesh with no illumination. His soul comes from God, who infuses into flesh, into a non-illumined flesh. So contemplate the beginning carefully. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you. You will see what I just explained.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened: and when they perceived themselves to be naked, they sewed together fig leaves, and made themselves aprons. 8 And when they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in paradise at the afternoon air, Adam and his wife hid themselves from the face of the Lord God, amidst the trees of paradise.
The lie of Satan:
4 And the serpent said to the woman: No, you shall not die the death. 5 For God doth know that in what day soever you shall eat thereof, your eyes shall be opened: and you shall be as Gods, knowing good and evil.
the Serpents mixes truth with a lie. first the truth: 'your eyes shall be opened'; next the lie: 'you shall be as Gods'; then another lie: 'knowing good and evil'. The 'know' here means to practice, participate. Satan did not teach them knowledge, but how to pracitice evil. He showed them what it means to practice fornication.
God teaches Wisdom, it teaches. It does not give you lessons on how to practice as Satan did. Satan flashed into their minds how to fornicate. Do you see the difference? Satan teaches men to live in the lower nature. God teaches the spirit of man. If God says He looks at the heart, then the spirit of man resides in the heart of man. Jesus says from the heart comes, all the evil men do.
God teaches love. But today God has to teach us how to overcome: the flesh, which Satan taught, the world which Satan rules, and Satan which is king of Babylon and his underworld cave, hell.
God has to teach us many more things on top of these. Way more. But, He tells us Love is the greatest and best way to achieve victory. From love comes everything. Therefore Wisdom is the principal Teacher. Can any man teach you what God cannot? Is God so limited that He cannot teach? This is exactly what those who say only the leaders of the Church can teach say without knowing it. Unknowingly. They are themselves lacking Wisdom, who teaches all things.
So, when people read the Bible, and they refuse to read any further, they do not like the Truth about themselves. It is a thing of fright. They are afraid. The consequence for sin, is being afraid --- as well.
