Matthew (1:1): The son of David, the son of Abraham.

Post by michaelamity on Sat Oct 17, 2009 7:20 pm

The first verse of Matthew introduces the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

This is a question for Poem and anybody else.

The NAB bible notes that Jesus Christ is introduced as the son of David BEFORE the son of Abraham,
in order to emphasize that Jesus is the royal Messiah.

It is my opinion that the Almighty Father uses the Devil; that earthly life is a test to see if you
will choose good or evil.

So it is my opinion that the Almighty Father presents us His truth in ways which leave room for
the possibility of doubt and error.

The reason for Jesus' death and persecution in the beginning was because the magi said he
was a king, and King Herod wanted him dead in order to sustain his own kingship.

And throughout the gospel Jesus reproaches and reminds the disciples, particularly Judas, to remember
that he is not the king of any earthly land; but the King of a spiritual kingdom.

So why was it the will of the Almighty Father that Jesus be born of a royal earthly lineage?

Was it, to leave the door open, for men to make this mistake...of confusing earthly power with divine power?

Was it necessary for Jesus to be born of royal human lineage? I don't think so.

So here is my current opinion: the Almighty Father revealed complete truth that Jesus was the foster-son of a Royal line of males going back to King David. But this truth leaves men the opportunity to mistake the Messiah's Kingship as an earthly kingship.

Another example of this would be when: Jesus says to "destroy this true temple and I will raise it to give praise to God."

He was referring to the temple of his body, but had to have known that some people wouldn't get it, and be dismayed by the fact that He said to destroy their temple.

So why say it like that? To cause division; those that would think of earthly things, and those that would think of spiritual things.

What do you think, Poem?

Either you belive or you do not. It's that simple.

God is looking for true believers, those who believe in Him. that is the bottomline.

The human life is nothing, all that is fleshly living. It means nothing, the lineage simply put
shows that Jesus comes from the line of Abraham, Jesus' 'flesh'. I, my flesh has a beginning
and I am not of the servants, or slaves lineage, but of the royal line, the royal line also,
to identify that Jesus is one prophesied to come; Messaiah, Savior, Redeemer. But, the
Pharisees and those who were against Jesus, did not care about this. It is simply the
leading of the Holy Spirit to write it.

Two lines: Cain and Abel. Cain's are murderer's, Abels are Redeemer's. Abraham comes from this line
Abel. Not Cain's. The Jewish tradition was created to keep a lineage, to maintain this line in Abraham.
The pagans, were considered Cain's. This is not mentioned openly. Because Cain was expelled from Adam and Eve's home and God's presence, from the family. They were given the Sign of condemnation.

Cain's are always wanting to get back in with all their errors, but for all the wrong reasons. Grudge.
Abel's are always telling Cain's that God loves them. Conversion. But Cain's are too full of pride, they
want love and be recognized and accepted by God, but, they want to do it their way and not God's way.
Read Genesis, the offerings of Abel and Cain to God. Abels recognize God is Love, Cain's just see God, an entity, these need to be taught how to love. How to do everything with love and not pride. They were born in more error than their counterparts. Jesus mentions that, God balances, good and evil. God administrates
life. Adam's choice made the differenece. Had he chosen to reject the tree of good and evil, and all his descendants, remained faithful, things would be so different, we would not be having this conversation.

Ok it's like this, I have two children, I teach these two children, they do not have any error, nor inclination to sin, they are sin free, no stain of Origin, no desire but to learn and grow in knowledge. (this is adam and eve)
But, before, these two are born, there is a rebellion elsewhere, that presents a most alarming thing, that could perhaps cause a serious problem to my overall work. This rebellion, sprung up on it's own. So, after the rebellion, this new thing became a point of test for my two children. Will you obey me? Or will you go after this new thing? They went after this new thing, because their desire for more knowledge, a thirst for it, caused them to fall into a great big trap that caused all their descendants to inherit this new knowledge. What is knowledge? It is a way to 'increase' understanding. Understanding gives way for new inventions for man to act on. If you invent Evil, you cause many to act on it. If you 'keep' good, you do good and others recognize it.

The Tree of Life increases in Wisdom, because Wisdom is 'unlimited' in Good.

The tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil, increases in Evil Only. Because it's author is Evil.

Thus in man is both of these. good and evil. Because, the Evil tree Originated from Good and chose Evil.

Thus man struggles with both, good and evil. Which one wins out? The last day of your life on earth will determine which side has influenced you the most.

A Soul comes from God alone. There's always error in this statement by those who do not know its true Origin. Jesus is not interested in those who want Human life. Flesh, life according to the Flesh. That's not what God is, Flesh. Read, the PoMG. Then, you might understand, the Gospel. It is about 'salvation' not, an understudy.

In Jesus, (those who recognize it) is the Word of God. This is God. This is the part you're supposed to
see.

In Jesus is the Soul of a Man and the Divinity of the Word of God. Two persons.

Without the Holy Spirit, teaching you, you have many human possiblities, that become errors as you are experiencing. Trust in God, to teach you. It does not happen over night. It happens as you grow in Wisdom. Wisdom is the principal thing and everything. Without Wisdom, the Bible makes no human sense.
The Bible or the sacred scripture is not born of Human Thought, but of Spiritual Thought.

These are the things you should assimilate first: 10 commandments, two commandments of Jesus.
Ask for more love, only Love can teach. Love is Wisdom and Light.

Peace be with you always

The Connection of Abraham to Abel is a 'spiritual' connection. For the living entity is the spirit. The flesh of Abel died. God gave Seth to Adam and Eve as recourse to their repentence.

Try not to get caught up in the mental side too much. Grow in Wisdom, this is the surest way to answer all your questions. Wisdom is God, Jesus is the Wisdom. It is also the first gift of the Holy Spirit, Wisdom.

The flesh is a garment, for those who have made it so. One has to make the flesh a 'garment'. All it's knowledge, incentives, desires, have to be in short 'put to death'. Because it lives awakened to the senses, that cause all the errors. As you grow in Grace and Wisdom, you will come to identify fleshly voices. Those same voices reside in every human being.

It is your enemy, until it is made a garment.

Peace be with you always.
